How do I enable two-factor authentication (2FA)?

Add a second layer of security to your account using an authenticator app or SMS.

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds a second verification step when you log in, making it much harder for someone to access your account even if they have your password.

Enable 2FA with an authenticator app (recommended)

  1. 1Download an authenticator app: Google Authenticator, Authy, or 1Password.
  2. 2Go to Account Settings → Security → Two-factor authentication.
  3. 3Click "Enable 2FA" and select "Authenticator app".
  4. 4Scan the QR code with your authenticator app.
  5. 5Enter the 6-digit code displayed in the app to confirm setup.
  6. 6Save your backup codes in a secure place.

Enable 2FA with SMS

  1. 1Go to Account Settings → Security → Two-factor authentication.
  2. 2Click "Enable 2FA" and select "SMS".
  3. 3Enter your phone number and verify it with the code sent.

Authenticator apps are more secure than SMS-based 2FA because they are not vulnerable to SIM-swapping attacks. We strongly recommend using an app.
